We can’t lose sight of the dollars and cents behind these relevancy filters. You see, relevancy encourages “clicks” and clicks are what drive revenue for the search engines and the social networks. So, in order to get you clicking more (which is good for business), a “filter bubble” is built into the algorithms that drive the online recommendation engine results.
